where to drill for probe?

I want to have my exhaust manifold drilled and tapped for my egt gauge and the guy thats gonna drill it asked me if it was a divided manifold, so that is my question to you. how will I know if its divided without taking the turbo off?
and does any one have a picture of a manifold with the probe in it that they will share?

My probe is in the small intermediate cast section just before the turbo, I think that's the best place for it. You should pull the turbo off to tap the manifold anyway, but it should be one piece anyway.

Mine is in the same place, and it is not necessary to remove the turbo, I didn't, many others haven't either, just clean the shavings out, and the few that remain will just blow through on startup.

thanks I've just finished the install as the tst guidelines show. every thing is good, now what are average egt's on a stocker supposed to be? I get just over 1000 on flat ground. w.o.t. up to 75m.p.h.

That does not sound too unreasonable. my stock temps in the winter time topped somewhere around 900, if you idle it long enough it should dip down somewhere around 250.

Bombed , my temps get as high as 1400 , and it still will idle down to around 250.
