I am thinking of doing a NV4500 conversion or a new 6spd would be even better. I would love to know what my auto tranny is worth with 94,000 miles in a 1995 2500 4x4. Also maybe some good places to find all of the parts that I would need tranny, clutch, etc. Any advise would be greatly appriciated.

 

What is a core charge in your area? That is all it is worth as it need to be rebuilt.

By the end of 2007 you will likely regret changing your auto to a standard. The feds are funding more state inspections of diesel vehicles by then, and if you have a configuration that was not originally EPA certified for the drivetrain found at inspection you will end up red tagged.

Outside of that, it would be much more cost effective to just trade for a standard equipped truck. There are a number of places that have the necessary parts, but expect to pay well over $4,000 for all the pieces and parts, and then you have labor to do the work, the odds and ends we all find after we get started, as well as an ECM that will have to be changed.
