what is this and why is it leaking?
right over the front cylinder...it has fluid coming out. i am guessing diesel. could this be a HUGE problem? could it be causing my ticking?

Looks like valve cover to me. Your return line and feed line look dry. If the big injector hold down nut was loose you would most likely leak air.

I second the valve cover gasket, ought to just adjust the valves and replace the gaskets with new ones.They are like five bucks.

Thats a head bolt. Remember, leaks run down. look above to find it.
