what tools for tranny rebulid?

what tools for tranny rebulid?

does anyone know exactly what special tools are needed to rebuild my 47re and the best place to get them?

Dont even attempt it if you dont have a verry clean area to work in. You want it all to go together without a spec of crap in it. Thats not to say you cant do it. I do have a special clutch packing tool (I dont know the proper name for it) and I rebuilt a 700r4. Do to the way auto's work I am pretty sure you will need something like that. I would go to your local champion and buy a book on rebuilding an automatic transmission. It will tell you what the name of the tool is.

I know I need a clean place to work since I have rebuilt quite a few motors and trannys but I dont have the special tools and was hoping to get them from somewhere other than the dealer. I know I can do it but I just want to save as much money as possible.

i bought the tool from either car quest or champion, dont remember. It was pretty cheap though.
