what happens-water in fuel or bad diesel
I'm not sure just what happens if you fill the tank with some bad diesel, or if it has water in it. What would be the problems? What are the differences with the 12v vs the 2006 24v? I know someone who has a 2006 and was told due to water in fuel he had to replace the lift pump, all 6 fuel injectors, and a few more things. Left him on the side of the road while pulling his trailer. Could this happen to our 12v too? Thanks, Ken

Not sure of worst case scenario, but a load of bad fuel gave me fits even after changing filters, draining water from the fuel filter, and dumping fuel treatment in the tank at every fuel-up. Much noise from the injector pump, missing, hard starting, loss of power. It took many, many miles and tanks of fuel before everything ran right again. And yes, I should have pulled the tank and drained it immediately, but didn't. Experience is a tough teacher.
