Does 190 sound to hot for driving around town and interstate?

it will go down a little like idleing at stop lights or stop and go driving but if I am driving it will be at 190.

190 running is a good steady temp for pretty much any diesel. Too cold you carbon up, too hot you steam. , sounds good though. I have a mechanical water temp in head at #1 cylinder that runs 192 hooked up towing, 190 empty. I have the stock gauge in dash, it to me is somewhat accurate with the second Isspro electric in the back of the head near #6 cylinder, that gauge runs 191. I guess I have OCD with gauges.
