recall work

i have to take my truck in for some recall work. something with steering shaft and some wireing hood latch. now this truck had throtel cable fix but the cable is comeing apart at the end of it. can someone tell me if this is going two need to be replaced under the recall as a bad part.

I don't know what year your truck is but a recall is covered for ever! I had 7 done on my '95 last year. Get the dealer to check for other ones while you are there.

The dealer can by looking up the VIN.

Infidel , that will tell you what recalls need done , but not what ones have been done.

Guess they figure most people don't care about recalls that have already been done.
Personally I haven't had any of the recalls done on my trucks as I wouldn't trust a dealer "mechanic" with my truck after the few experiences I had under warranty.

I sell trucks for a Dodge dealership (one of the few that know how to work on a Cummins), and I can check what recalls have been done if you post the last 8 of the VIN and the miles

well just got it back from dealer. thanks guys for info and did look up a friend truck he calling to get his fixed.
