A buddy who has a 24valve has done something to block off the wastegate, not quite sure what, nut he gets 40lbs of boost. Anyway, was wondering if it would be better to buy the wastegate kit that is available or just "jimmy it". I have heard that the kit is only practical if you are pulling a lot. Any comments and sugestions would be helpful.

 

The HX35 is only in it's map up to 38# over that you are looking to explode the turbo. HX35 turbos can be reworked for a max boost of 40+#. When you purchase a fuel plate it comes with a elbow matched to fule plate and turbo. With a stock engine slide your plate full forward and turn the starwheel full forward, then you can buy a boost elbow. But for the best bang for your buck get a fuel plate kit.<br>Bruce
