It's just a simple switch. If it doesn't work or you really do lose vacuum the dash brake light warning comes on.

Are you talking about the red brake light, on the dash. I have the same problem. I just replaced my vacum lines that controlled the Cruise control and the AC controls. My brake light has been on for as long as I know. Do you think if I replaced my vacum sensor then my brake light would go off.

Thanks for the info infidel.

I have been trying to figure out why I dont have TC lock-up (at all) and why the cruise doesnt work. Checked/cleaned everything else. Going to put a switch on it tomorrow and see if it will lock manually.

It could. The problem might also be your parking brake switch. The PB switch is so cheap it's totally amazing it works at all.

Thanks for the help Infidel. I'll try and get one this week, and see if it works. Do you have a part # for it.

The emer brake switch can be easily repaired - take a look and see if it is bent.

The vacuum switch can be tested with a hand vacuum pump - pump it down and the lite should go off - no use pulling the connector, 'cause the lite will just stay on
