Uh Oh waited too long to put it back together...

As some of you know I had a water pump fail on the road back in August and it scared me to death (block temp over 315F as it weeped all the water out) to the point that I tore my 12V apart so that Id have to fix all its quirks (and stop driving a un-tabbed truck) and do the KDP before it was drivable again. Well that was before my company started working me 10 hour days (plus a hour commute each way) 6 days a week, so the truck sat in my fathers headed shop until now.
I now look at all the parts on the bench and scratch my head.... hmmm.... don't remember that anywhere. So Here goes this "help thread"
I cleaned the front cover, its actually Cummins tan when clean

Q1. Some of the cover bolts are long, some short, I remember the long ones went near the crank sensor??

Q2 where on earth does this go?

Can't really say mine has anything like that. Is it round or oblong?

On edit, check this out, could it be index 17? That would be for an automatic truck.............

The long bolts go in where the bolt holes are bored thru to the block

Is your dad the kind of guy to throw an extra part on the table?

haha, no but I would be! It was in the same bucket as the cover bolts, so has to go somewhere- maybe near the crank sensor bracket?

I got a good part done today! Crank seal installed (forgot the lock tight though) and the cover went on smooth- I had my doubts with that plastic crank shield's outside diameter but it worked perfectly. I have 3 sizes of cover bolts, lots of short. One medium and a few long. Plus the stud's for the crank sensor. Where does that medium bolt go?
OEM cummins Water pump went on great, correct me if im wrong but its just the flat rubber O-ring that seals it right?
Rust was just surface rust- came right off with a wire wheel on the drill
Installed a OEM 3rd brake light foam seal, that will keep the cab dry.
Stop drilled a crack in the dash, my father flys F-16's and said if it works for wings it will work for a mopar dash.
I got those headlight depot sport headlights off amazon, one filled with water after only a few days of use and they would not swap it out, so I re-sealed it with silicone. Hope that will keep the fog out of it.
More on Christmas day (only day off other than today)
