trident Marine hose

What is the life span of the Trident hose with barrier liner? I changed mine about 5 yrs ago in a parking lot in NY. Not a fun job and don't want to do it again. I am leaving fo AK in 4 weeks trying to get all of this taken care of.

I've had it on both my trucks, all the way from engine to tank, for over ten years.
My feeling is as long as it isn't chafing somewhere it will easily last the life of the truck.

Thanks thats what I need to know. Like I said I changed the 5/16 that is so hard to get in NY. I had order it from Larry's both piece's 5/16 and 3/8. In 08 I was going to change what was supposed to be the 3/8 turns out it was 5/16 also. I did not have time to order more so I used a piece of fuel injection hose. I have the trident now enough to do both again. My steel lines are still good the truck has hardly been off the pavement and they use no salt here.

It's vibration that takes out the steel lines, usually where the bolt down tabs are welded to it. Often the metal lines start leaking as a result of moving them around in the struggle to replace the short hoses.
The short hoses at the tank start leaking also.
I've seen these places leak so often that I never replace the short section of hose at the back of the engine anymore, just abandon the entire stock system all the way to the tank. More reliable.
Costs more for hose but is a more or less permanent fix that is actually easier than replacing the short hoses. Lot easier working at the tank then behind the engine.
