Tranny problem

I was driving down on the highway and rpm's started going way up , I pulled off the highway to see a rubber tranny line that goes to the cool popped off. I put the line back on and will the tranny back up the way the manual says, it was 8 quarts i lost and took off. The truck work's fine all besides it will not lock up in overdrive. When turn overdrive off it will lock in 3rd gear just fine. Turn overdrive on and no locking. Any ideas? Tranny fluid level is right on ok warmed up in neutral. Anything?

what type of fluid did you use? i'm sure you tried changing the filter? some of those "quick connectors" had check ***** in them to keep it from loosing prime. make sure it's not backwards. some guys are running hydralic fluid.

Dextron III, filter should be fine, i didnt drop the pan, it wasnt a qucik connector, it was just a rubber line clamped on a hard line that came off.

had the same thing happen to me...I wrote ATS (my trans is ATS) and got a very quick response. I changed the TPS already, so I was told to check the "overdrive solenoid"! Drop the pan, and it's connected to the valve body from the side. If you have to get the OD solenoid, the Torque Convertor Lockup solenoid will be replaced too, as it's part of the same unit on the trans. Before I order the solenoid, I'm gonna' drop the valve body to make sure the OD valve isn't sticking or a chunk of metal logged in there holding it shut.
Let you know how I make out!

Valve body was clean & all valves move freely. Changing the OD/TCC solnoid didn't work. Trying to figure what to do next!
