tranny line fix?

Ok, I got 1 of my tranny lines off of the main cooler, under the turbo, start to leak! the 2 lines rubed together and rubed a hole in 1 of the lines. Whats the best way to fix? can I splice the line with compression fittings? I really do not want to buy another line, but if I have to, can I just make one? flared ends? any help would be great guys, thanks, shawn

A compression fitting may work but probably the best bet is to use a hydraulic hose to replace the whole line. Here is some food for thought if you just want to upgrade OE.

On the 94 we used to have we had a new line made with hydraulic line and fittings... it was half the price of a new line from dodge, and a lot beefier.

Shawn, you could use hydraulic line, or, what I did was ordered 25 ft. of aluminum line from Summit Racing for a good deal. Then I bought one of those spring tubing benders for about 5 bucks. My biggest tubing bender went up to 3/8", so the spring bender worked fine. I got them bent up pretty close, they work just fine. Make sure and save the old fittings so that you can re use them later. Use 1/2" line and flare it up. It took me about an hour to bend up and install 2 lines.
