Tranny Help

I found a NV 4500 Dodge Transmission Rebuilt with a warranty for a good price. Is this a good deal and will it work on my truck? I have a 98 12 valve automaic.
Thanks Andrew

Should work as long as its a Diesel/v10 unit, not sure if the autos are different in the output shaft splines, so your rear drive shaft/transfer case (depending on whether you have a 4x4 or not) will fit into the back of the tranny, driveshaft lengths may need to be lengthened/shortened depending on auto to manual tranny length differences.

As for the front of the manual tranny, new flywheel for a manual, clutch, inside the truck you'll need a clutch pedal that hooks to a slave cylinder. I think the pedal system is a whole assembly.

I'm sure someone here has done the swap, hopefully they'll chime in.
