tourque spec & posilock
tourque spec & posilock
I am installing my injection pump and was wondering if anyone knows the tourque spec. for the nut that holds the gear on for a 96 12 valve injection pump.
Also I am installing a posilock system in my ram on the front axle. can anyone tell me if i can remove the vacuum lines that go back to the transfer case? if so what ones? or can i just cap one line? just dont want any vacuum leaks or any unused vacuum lines hanging around.

Torque spec is 144 ft-lbs, but I go 180 ft-lbs. Some people have issues with the gear slipping at the lower torque levels.
If you don't need the vacuum system anymore, you can just remove the whole set of lines and cap it where it tees off at the cowl. It would be good to cap the 4 lines at the vacuum switch on the t-case to keep debris out.
