Question timing advance... how far

Im looking for a little more fuel effency, so im gonna advance the timing. Im wondering how far exactly to advance it.

also i found this article http://dodgeram.info/tsb/1994/18-10-94a.htm

Has anyone actually done this at home, and can you do it without all the special tools?

Mike

Alot of people do it at home all the time , but you DO need the tools to do it correctly.

Do a search on timing tools , and you should find a thread on how to make some of the tools yourself.

I would suggest starting at 16.5* that is a fairly common, well liked setting.
