is there coolant there?
is there coolant there?
now would i tell if coolant is going to all the right places? i changed my head gasket, and broke the coolant temp. sensor on the back of the head, so i ca't get any temp readings..... seems hot, but maybe its just my over-active imagination?
yeah. well.... its 85 bucks or so and no one has one in stock, so it will have to wait until someone can get me one. the one for the gasser costs 12 bucks and everyone has them. gotta love the cummins!
85 bucks is alot better than running to hot. I guess the best way to tell if the coolant in circulating is to drive it until your at normal operating temp, then shut it down and listen for the coolant to drain through the system... I can't think of any other way without just having the temp sensor. The draining sound is easy to hear so it should work.
i would think it would be working, heat it the cab, etc. but i would really like to verify it with the gauge. oh, if you ever pull your head remember to unplug that sensor. it way in the back and easy to forget, also breaks easy enough that you cant even feel any resistance. check out my fancy new "cherry picker"! hahah my screen name is still cheapskate
