I had posted previously about my 1996 cummins auto that was having issuses shifting and staying locked up. After cleaning my grounds, replacing the solinoid in the valve body and the tps, i still had problems. I pulled the alternator and had it tested at the local parts store. It FAILED miserably. i replaced it and the batteries that at this point i noticed were undersized. it shifts like a dream. Now, what do you suggest for upgrades? I have always ran manuals. I been told the ATS valve body is the best. Should i order a trans from ATS or Suncoast or rebuilt my stock with upgraded parts. What torque converter and flex plate should i run? I am looking to do more motor upgrades with the target of a mild 400hp in mind. I tow a 27 foot stock trailer and want to hot rod but not totally thrash this truck. I want to do this build in the proper order so i figure trans is number 1. thank you. twister96

Suncoast and ATS are both proven... I would recommend Dave Gorend tho.. great customer service!
