straight pipe ??

straight pipe ??

Hey guys i cut my muffler off and put a straight pipe. what should i do with the cat just put a straight on or gut it out. what have some of you guys done. Is it true that you lose some power by straight piping???

I would just replace the cat with straight pipe. Several folks I've known who have gutted them weren't happy with the sound the gutted ones make. Besides that the dust created by gutting is very hazardous stuff.

You wont loose power by straight piping, not too much of a gain either, but you will get lower EGTs and quicker spool-up.
