Stabilizer bar / front end shimmy / transmission
Stabilizer bar / front end shimmy / transmission
Well I was hauling some dirtbikes to the trail this afternoon doing 70 on the highway and hit a bump in the road and had my front end go into an oscillation. I could feel the wheels bouncing back and forth while the truck went straight. The only thing that stopped it was to lay off the gas. Just like headshake on a sportbike. Guess its time for a new trackbar =(
Also have put about 5k on the truck since I added all these power mods and with the thrashing Ive been giving it I thought for sure the bottom of the transmission pan would be covered in metal shavings. Looked pretty **** clean though.
Might just change the oil more frequently till I can afford a trip to my local DTT dealer
Anyone here had luck installing a torque convertor and valve body onto an old transmission? Did it hold up good?

If you are going to have the trans pulled to install converter, at least have trans freshened up and cleaned out before installing converter and valvebody.
Cost to do this likely won't be too much. Do it once, do it right.
