i might be wrong, but couldnt you heat it up causing it to expand so that it would be closer to stock size and maybe the bolts would come out easyer, just an idea.

if you have already done this i dont know of anything else.

good luck

Ran into this several times.
Get some real penetrating oil, not WD40 and let them soak for a day.
I use Kroil but PB Blaster is good too.
Now they'll probably come out, if not put some heat to them.

Something that has amazed me several times doing this is that as soon as the torque is off the bolts they will go straight again.
When I'm working on a rig and see bent bolts I always loosen and retorque them, bolts stay straight for as many years that I've been doing it.
Once the pressure is off the manifold won't crack.

If worse comes to worse, cut the manifold. It should spring open, and then you have taken the side load off the bolts.

So you are doing this without changing the manifold? Are there any problems with the gaskets not sealing or things lining up wrong once you have done this? My manifold is starting to shrink and it would be great to have this easy of a fix(yeah right, it is going to be really rusty).

I've done it several times since I discovered the bolts straighten out when you loosen them. You loosen and retorque one at a time, nothing moves. The bolt holes in the manifold are oblong, the bolts end up in a new place. Usually just the bolts at each end are bent and causing stress on the manifold and are the only ones that need to be loosened.

Thanks for that information, I think that I might try it when I get a chance. Time to start hitting them with pb blaster.

Clinebarger:

To add to what Bill already told you, another spray product that I have used to loosen those manifold bolts is a product called "Buster." For me it works as good as "PB Blaster" but it is hard to find in some areas.

PB Blaster and hit the end of the bolts with a pneumatic hammer. The vibration from it does wonders for losening things up.
