sounds like youre not getting fuel. Checked the fuel pressure? Air leaks? Could be anything from the tank straw all the way to the pump.
Easy stuff to check is the fuel shutoff solenoid and the relay that drives it. it should go up and stay up once youve tried to start it.

yeah shut off solenoid works fine i did check that thats what i thought it was. it has been dying when i pushed the clutch in for about a week now but it would always start right back up.and run fine but today she just wouldn't do anything. i will start checking lines tommorrow hopefully thats all thats wrong with it. no i didnt rebuild the motor i put in it has a 60000 mile warranty so i figured it would be fine.but it was running fine so i dont think it is internal i think it is somthing to do with the fuel

Little B -

When you say "died" that's a very generic term for many different things. You don't help matters in your post by discussing the replaced engine. So...a couple of thoughts for you to help us help you...

Be thorough with your description. "Died out - and just won't restart" is a whole lot different than "I send a rod through the block." I would assume you are needing to get fuel back to your engine, perhaps your lift pump has "died" and it's not the expen$$$$ive P-7100 Injection pump. Other than the driving gear on the front of the P-pump, I've not ever heard of one of these failing.

Finally - why did you replace the engine? that's not excatly a minor thing, most of us on here drive these truck primarily for the high - longevity engine. What happened to yours to have it replaced? Do you have recourse with the shop that did the work, as perhaps it's related to thier work or the engine they sourced for you.

I will say with all the modifications you have done to yours, you are pushing it a little. Good luckw with this situation.

the reason i replaced the engine is that i dropped a valve number three cylinder and pretty much schatered the piston. No i dont think it is major it just died and wont restart sorry i was so vauge. and i put the engine in my self i do all my own work.so all i need is fuel back to the engine thanks again

10:1 it's fuel related... was the pump rebuilt or just the engine?

a p-pump engine should still start w/ a dead lift pump unless there's an air leak and it's lost its prime.
