replacement fuel hose

I have seen several posts about replacing the rubber fuel lines
and insure they are "diesel rated" lines. someone said to insure they were
"R9" hoses.

I just bought some Gates rubber hose and on the hose it read

"fuel injection hose (mult-fuel compatability) {size} SAE30R9"

the 3/8 hose was p/n 27088

the 5/16 hose was p/n 27085

the parts store stocks it in 10 foot lengths and they sold it by the foot.

Another post said they bought 2 feet of each, I bought 3 just in case

Sounds good. Even with two feet you would have had extra.

Depends on the year, two feet will work on all 12 valves. All take between one and two feet and since you have to buy it by the foot...

my understanging is if it says "fuel injection hose" and is Gates it is not diesel compatible, you have to use the regular "fuel line hose"

Designed for extremely high temps generated by fuel-injected engines, with a burst pressure rating of 900 psi. Handles leaded, unleaded, alcohol-added, diesel and extended gasolines, resisting sour gas oxidation.

Alcohol added should include B100 right?

Fuel injection hose is far superior to plain fuel hose. Go ahead and use it, along with a quality clamp with rolled edges, such as Dodge p/n 6500651. (5/16")
