Quick tranny question...

How do you remove the shifter on a '97 nv4500 from the top plate?

In the middle of pulling it out and need to pull it to clear enough to come down and out...

Take the top plate off from in the cab and pull straight up in N

This is a 97, not 98+...
Has a spring and a retainer...Just trying to figure out how to remove the retainer/spring/shifter to swap it over to the over tranny...
