thanks for the help
thanks for the help
just retimed my truck today, started early in the morning and ran into problems. i put it all together and tried to start it up and nothing, looked, fuel coming out of the exhaust manifold, doh, timed it on wrong cycle. took it all back apart, reset timing at 16 degrees and tried starting it again, fired up with a cloud of smoke from the extra fuel in the cylinders. wow, i could even hear the difference in the idle, much smoother, and had more of a cackle to it. driving my truck is a real joy now, has so much more power at hand. just wanted to say thanks to everyone for putting me on the right track on getting this done and i was also wondering if there was a injector that doesn't cause the stutter like the 370 marine injectors do, i went trail riding today and that stutter was driving me nutz.
yeah, i've heard of some people getting the 370's to even out with no stutter with the delivery valves, but it didn't help me. they then said to advance the timing, which i did, but still has the stutter. i really don't want to go back to stock injectors, but i can't deal with this stutter any longer.
