i got a guy interested in my bad automatic out of my doner truck with the torque converter. how much is it worth? i have no clue. and i dont really want to get low balled being that i need the money.

 

What does your local trans shop get for a core charge? That is all it is worth.

 

The local tranny guy gives me $50 to $75 for smoked 1st gen autos, depending on if he needs the tranny at the time, or if he has a few on the shelf waiting for a rebuilt.
The second gen tranny, I am guessing would be worth a bit more as there are more people looking for a rebuilt 47re.
GAmes is right, call a local tranny shop and ask what a fresh rebuilt tranny is w/ and w/o a core tranny
