Power Steering Pump Leaking Engine Oil???
Power Steering Pump Leaking Engine Oil???
Have a 93 CTD with a slight oil leak. Seems to be comming from the cente of the steering pump where the two parts are sandwiched together. If I am thinking right that the braided line feed engine oil to the pump for lubrication.
If I separate the pump into two sections is the seal rubber o ring or paper gasket?? Are there any issues or is this a simple R&R. an explodded view would be awesome.
Thanks

Do a search for vaccum pump seal repair. Plenty of info on it along with pics and part numbers on here. Its relatively easy to repair other than trying your patience getting the bolts started in the timing case. I had one of the bolts leaking that took about 3 months to find it was barely loose and leaking intermittantly. We are talking gallons of oil out that thing. Good luck.
