How long ago where the rubber lines replaced? On my 95 a previous owner had replaced them but I still had to redo them myself. If they are a few years old they may be your problem. Also double check all the connections for tightness. It can suck air even if you cant see fuel weeping through the rubber.

If you have to bleed the pump to start the truck, you are losing prime, which means you have air leak. Finding it, however, is another story. If you have access to a compressor, use a clean rag, stuff it in the filler neck, and put in NO MORE than 5 psi in the tank. If you are lucky, you will start to see fuel weeping out from somewhere. Having another person to deal with the air while you look around will help. Other sources of leaks, the lift pump, poorly fitting filter or connections, fuel heater, return line.

Check the fuel return at the back of the head.

I'm chasing an air leak. I hope it isn't the return line. That octo-piece looks expensive.

I replaced the fuel lines too. The stock stuff is prone to rot behind the tank.
A good quality marine hose should last a long time under there.
I would start with that return hose at the IP then check the fuel pickup module for leaks.
