Ok now my question, Rims

Ok I found a guy on here selling tires and rims and it’s a good deal because I need new tires and I want to get bigger rims later. The rim size here is 16.5 x 9.75. Well most tires fit these for is that a strange rim, this is not my area at all. Thanks everyone

Well; 16.5 inch rims are usually hard to come by tires for and they are more expensive for the most part. Type in Eagle Alloys on ebay. They usually have some for pretty cheap. There is a guy that goes by TomZwheels, and i think he sales 16x10 eagle alloys for $330 plus shipping. Not a bad deal. 16's are just much easier/cheaper to buy tires for than 16.5's. Good luck

Actually I have found that most of the 16.5 tires are cheaper. I dont know why they are cheaper, but they are.

Is there a big market for this size rim? The guy is going to sell me the rims ( 16.5 x 9.75) and BFGs AT 33s for 400 dollars and I am trying to find out if this is a wise buy or not.

Thanks guys

The tires themselves are WELL worth $400 if they are any count. I would take that deal up, and as was said, maybe the 16.5's are in fact cheaper. I was just basing my stuff on what little i could remember about 16.5's. Definatley sounds like a good deal to me. My buddy priced some 285 BFG A/T's for his chevy, and it was like $958 JUST for tires. Those BFG's arent cheap,a nd they are good tires. Go for it, and if you want different rims when the tires wear out, just sell them.

16.5 Rims and tires are on the way out, they have no safety bead. The manufacturers are slowly making less and less of them-probably the liability issue. The deal is great, but in time they will be non-existant.

Have been running 16.5 rims and tires for 11 years, {knocks on wood} And I have never, ever had a blow out,and tires are STILL cheaper then and just as easy to find as 16s, everyone says that, because trucks are not sold with that size anymore, they either come with 16" or 17" or bigger., the biggest thing about blow outs because of no outer bead on the rim comes from running aired down, like rock crawlin or mudding, I personally have even run a low tire, and to tell you the truth, by lookin at it, you could hardly tell it was low 9psi!! I haul on a regular basis, and heavy too, and never have had a problem with the 33x12.50x16.5 tirs or rims I run,Other then some crappy mud tread tires that dont last 12000 miles!!! I would say jump on it. if you dont I will!!lol I got a set that are on my truck right know for sale, {just rims} they are directional, look nice, just want to go diferent design.$250. buys all 4
