oil leak!!
alrighty i have a nice sized oil leak coming from the backof the timeing cover. I ordered the seal for the vacccum pump it looks like it is coming from there, but i am wondering if anyone has had any issues like this before.
\Parts come in monday hopefully i can get it done by tuesday... any suggestions?

Hope it is the vac pump gasket. If there is oil above it then it is the gear case gasket. If you have to replace it think about a new cam, since it has to be pulled to replace the gasket. Yes, I do have a PDR cam. One other thing. The vac/pwr steer pump assy is supported by an L bracket. At the top of the engine mounted bracket that the L bracket goes to is a bolt that supports the injector pump. Mine was missing, and my theory is the wt of the pump warped the gear case enough to allow oil to leak.

thanks for the heads up!! Ill do the vac. pump. seal and clean all the oil off and see whats up in there, just awkward location and all so its a pain in the butt.
I just replaced mine two weeks ago. I'm pretty slow and it took about 5 hrs. If I was more talented it could have been done in three. As a tip, remove the oil line after unbolting the vacuum pump and reattach it before bolting the vacuum pump back in.
