I had ATS O-ring my head. they installed the O-ring material into the groove. I believe it was .061" either copper or? not sure what material. I had them give me some extra incase I goofed something upon install.
I bought my head set through Cummins.
ATS wanted the gasket to make sure the groove was in the correct place. I used a stock gasket and the O-ring gets sandwiched against the steel ring on the gasket that goes around the cylinder.
Im only seeing 44 PSI boost at this time, however turbo upgrades are in the future.
While your at it, you may go ahead and make those 6 holes in the side of the head a little bigger and a little shineyer
I happened to have an extra 2nd gen head laying around, I ported and polished it, had a valve job done, had it surfaced, then O-ringed.
I also installed an ATS manifold too while I was at it.
Good luck
