NV4500 Clutch pedal Pops going in and out! (Searched)

So I did a search and the words clutch and pop are just too broad. Has anyone found a solution to the pop from depressing the clutch pedal and again as it comes out? I put a little white silicone grease on the rod but it only helps for a few hours. Also, it seems temp. sensitive at times.

I get so frustrated with the noise...I feel stupid for letting something that small get to me.

Thanks
Scott

Is it the boot on the clutch rod or the lock out switch making the noise?

I want to say its the clutch rod, because if i spray the rod with silicone, it seems to subside for a bit. I dont know what the lock out switch is...please explain.

On the rod there is a sliding switch for the starter lock out.. Maybe its the popping sound you hear???

Ok, I see it. If that is it, what can I do about it?

If it's temperature-sensitive I'd be looking at the master/slave cylinder assembly; if underhood heat seems to affect it, that seems logical to me. Or, if the pressure-plate diaphragm "fingers" are uneven from slippage-induced overheat(which would take the tempering out of the diaphragm) it could cause a "pop" as a "finger" hangs up or suddenly releases from a burr on the throwout bearing face...all possibilities, and I've been known to bark up the wrong tree before; but these are possibilities that I have seen. Best of luck to you, I hope it's something simple.
