I have a buddy whose 99’s NV4500 clutch disintegrated when he was a few hours from home, unloaded. He had a shop close to where he broke down at look it over and install a new clutch (I don’t know much more about the details). He said they changed out the fluid and there was no out-of-the-ordinary shavings, but that there were some small shavings of plastic. He said he drove it home and now when he lets off of the throttle in 3rd it pops out of gear. He said it only does it in 3rd. I searched around on here and some people were having problems with the 3rd gear synchros, would they be the cause of it? I can get more details if you guys need. Any help would be appreciated.

usually a bad bearing will cause it to jump out of gear.... i had an old chev pu that would jump out of high , repleced bearings, all was ok
