I going to be changing the oil in the trans this weekend , I was wondering if any one has used the amsol oil in the NV4500,s the oil I am looking at is MTG 75w-90
the paper i have says it replacemet for the Chrysler part number 4874459 and GM part number 12346190

Or should I just bite the bullet and and get it from Chrysler

The Amsoil is a direct replacement for the Chrysler spec. I have many customer using it currently all with good luck. Several have even gone as far as to add fast coolers when they made the conversion. Plus, the Amsoil is about half the price of the over priced factory fill.

I agree, I run the Amsoil products in everything in mine and no problems. Plus, it really seems to run smoother and easier. The tranny shifts more smoothly

The Chrysler Spec says MUST be refilled with Castrol Syn-Torque and gives the Chryser and GM part numbers. (Bold and Underlied like the PTO cover on the tranny. I went and looked.

How long (miles) have they been using the Amsoil?
