no fire, even with ether.
If anyone can help it would be great. Heres the rundown; bought a 92 with no engine installed but came with two engines. Original engine spun 3 rods and other one is cracked(90 model). Figured I would fix the cracked one for now since its cheaper. after fixing, I installed engine and it ran great. I checked oil and it looked like a vanilla milk shake. Thought it might be an internal crack and removed engine for tear down. I found the rear freeze plug in the tappit galley had fallen out so I fixed it and reinstalled only this time I had the bright idea I would advance the ip one tooth and retard it on the case for now. I thought that would put me about stock timing mark til I got it running. WELL, I couldnt get it to run and since I had all the injector lines off I needed to get fuel up top so, I was shooting small shots of ether and it would run til the ether ran out. Went out the next day, and it wont start even with ether, wont hit a lick. Did I hurt something? I pulled the front cover and other then the advanced ip, all lines are where they should be. I want to start driving this truck but its one thing after another, please help!!!

DON'T use ether, that is some ju-ju. You need to do a compression test, to make sure you didn't break rings or blow a piston. WD40 is a safe alternative to ether.

Good possibility you broke something with ether.
Run a compression test before you yank it apart, but honestly, if it was spinning over and didn't light with ether, it probably does not have enough compression to fire with anything.
When I need to run one, I use WD 40 in a mister bottle, remove the air horn and regulate the speed of the engine with how much I spray.
