My buddy has a trans shop and built my trans with a new converter. Shifts good and pulls hard in lockup. But right now when I am locked up in 4th I can not get the truck to kick down into third no matter how much pressure I put on the throttle. Truck just keeps pulling in lock up like a manual.... LOL

I am taking it back to my buddies shop on Friday to have him check it out. What would cause the trans to not kick down from 4th to 3rd? It will kick down from 3rd to 2nd with no issues.

 

wish mine did that, mine kicks down to easy- even at 60mph it kicks down and runs at redline

 

One man's ceiling is another mans floor........ I will post what my buddy says after we take it for a test ride...... Truck flat out rips when in 4th OD lockup. Acts like a manual transmission....!!!!
