New noise
New noise
I don't post because I can usually find the answers to my questions by searching.
I have a new noise that developed a few weeks ago, and I can’t find it. Cruising at any speed down the road, and back off the throttle a little I get this metal vibrating on metal kind of sound. At first I thought it was a broken exhaust hanger, but I welded that back together and the noise is still there. I checked all the u-joints, and they are fine. I even pulled the dust cover off the bottom of the transmission to check if the flex plate was cracked where the torque converter bolts to it. It’s fine. I am at a loss right now, and don't where to start next. Any help or suggestions?
'95 2500 extended cab, auto, 2wd, 4" exhaust/ no muffler, 115 some-odd miles.
thanks.

thanks.[/QUOTE]I have been batting a very similar noise on my '93 for around 6 months now with no luck. If you figure it out, please PM me and tell me of your findings. I hear mine upon acceleration from stop and alsowhen I release the pedal after a burst of WOT. Carmyne
