Wink need advice

Hi there.
Am new here. But have qwestion. I am going be get a dodge diesel soon. I am not a fan of computer controls. so I will opt for a 12V. But I was wondering If one could feisibly change a 24V back to mechanical. I think that extra breathability would be good. Also could you run a mechanical lift pump with a 24V head. Love to have your input. Thanks in advance.

My almost stock 24V runs fine. 155K miles and no problems at all. Why would you want to mess with something that works?

There are kits to install a P7100 pump on a 24v but this is usually only done when installing a race pump on a non street driven truck that is making an enormous amount of power, and even then 12v heads that are ported are also making rediculous power too. There are also guys using a 24v head on a 12v engine. It depends what power level you are after. Many guys seem to be able to make 500 RWHP with an untouched 12v head. That is not to say that a ported or 24v head wouldn't make more in the same application. Get yourself a 12v truck and start bombing - you will not be disappointed with the power that is available with a stock 12v head.
