Mystery red fluid leak!!
Gentleman...i'm a bit new to this but bare with me.
A few weeks back i noticed some small puddles of DARK/DIRTY REDDISH fluid under the truck. Crawled underneath and it looked like someone had sprayed red fluid EVERYWHERE!! Checked ALL fluids that i thought of (brake, oil, powersteering, coolant)...all seemed good. Got back underneath there and I noticed that a drop was forming between the master cylinder and the booster. Took the master cylinder off and replaced a worn o-ring in there, bled brakes and thought i was golden. Not so much, leak is back.
Went under the hood and cleaned it all again only to notice that a POOL of the same fluid had collected inside a little protective rubber sheath on the steering rod (probably not the technical term for this) that runs directly underneath master cylinder...had to have been about a quarter cup.
i'm guessing it's a faulty/failing hydroboost....partially because of where the drop i noticed was, the color of the fluid and the location of such a heavy accumulation of it (directly underneath MasterCylinder).
BUT...why is there fluid EVERYWHERE...seemingly coating anything within a few feet of the mastercylinder? What is this "weep" hole on the hydroboost i've heard mentioned? Does it leak to indicate it needs to be replaced?
I may be missing something obvious....but just wanted to seek some advice before moving on. I appreciate any and all comments, contructive and/or comedic!!

sure sounds like the hydro-boost from what you describe. check your power steering resivor. see if its low on fluid. trans fluid is red and PS fluid can be red as well. your hydro-boost operates off of PS fluid pressure from the pump
