My CAD locks/unlocks front end

Been having a problem with the CAD locking and unlocking my front end while I drive. It produces a loud thud and usually does it when I slow down, or start going up a fill. I've replaces the vacuum motor and the vacuum switch on the transfer case. Any other ideas why this is happening?

You don't say what truck you have but my 96 has a vacuum switch on the transfer case, you might check if yours is shifting on its own.

You sure you didn't cross 2 vacuum lines when replacing the parts?

No,

I checked them both out and they're both fine. Just took the front driveshaft off, and took the truck for a drive. It's still dong it. Almost sounds like it's coming from the transfer case.

Have you disconnected the vacuum lines to the CAD, and driven it? See if it still does it, which would isolate it to the TC, or if it doesn't do it, you know it's in the CAD.
