I'm attaching a picture. I assume the red circle in my picture is around the vaccum hoses that activate the CAD.

What is the hose that the yellow circle is around and where does the other end hook to? I found this dragging around behind my front axle today.

I bet it is your axle vent tube is it a 3/8" hose the biggest rubber hose hooking to your diff. if so it just gets straped under the hood on the fender to keep water out of the diff. but to let it breath as well! Their should be some weird thing in the end which is the vent!

Yeah thats the vent tube, it goes up in the fender somewere, the red circle is your vac lines like you said

 

Nice... now I just need to remove my trac bar and get that replaced and I should be ready to plow some serious snow with this beast.

 

...FYI the vent tube on my 96 is secured just below the air filter box on the top of the fender.
