CAD Axle on a 95 2500 Cummins.4wd engagement.<br>Vaccum system never worked ,Posi-Lok cable kinda worked but no engagement while moving so it broke.So the question is whats next .Axle swap? Keep the housing change the guts?

 

Before you swap the axle, I would check the fork inside that slides to engage the front axles, it sounds like the vacuum servo didnt have enough strength to engage it, and the cable setup broke because something in the axle housing is either bent, or not sliding back and forth straight

 

whatever u do, dont swap that axle......! our trucks are one of only two places where u can still get a dana 60 front solid axle.....<br><br>there is also a kit made that converts our vacuum assist 2 piece shafts into one piecers and manual locking hubs.....i know it exists but am not srue the name, ill do my best to find it and post it
