Maybe time for a rebuild??

My 93 that I purchased last week has 280 on the clock and runs like a spotted butt ape. Starts up great runs great but here's the problems. She has a pretty good amount of blow by coming out the tube and dipstick. That bothers me but not near as much as the constant gray smoke. She smokes at an idle, smokes putting around town. You drive it 20 miles and it quits but the exhaust smells of oil. Turn it off and restart it And it goes back to smoking until you drive it 20+ miles again. The guy I bought it from has left it sitting for the last year or so and he had been running 5w-40 synthetic oil w a cheap filter. I drained it and used delo 400 and Lucas stabilizer back in it. It just runs too good in my opinion to need a rebuild. I'm just at a loss to clear up the smoke without putting a set of rings in it. Maybe valve stem seals? Any suggestions????

Can't really advise you here without seeing the results of a compression test. That would be my first move since anything else is guesswork at this point. Only other thing I can think of is bad Turbo bearings and seals leaking oil that is getting sucked into the engine through the intake............................................ .................
