lukes links on track bar...
My truck's trackbar is going south in a hurry, and since I don't (can't) really want to spend all the money on the 03 trackbar swap or the Thuren, so I'm going to go the Luke's Link route for right now. Thing is, the truck side link (the problem child) is really shot and would kind of like to replace it/rebuild it. Is it replaceable with a new tie rod end or will I have to get a whole new trackbar?
Thanks for the help!

The luke's link should tighten that pretty well. I ran a luke's link years ago an it did a decent job. It's nowhere near a 3rd gen or thuren but it's a lot better than stock, especially a worn out one.
You can also get a new bushing for the axle side.

second ^ that. $66 bucks. pretty easy install. You have to remove/drill out all the factory pieces which is easy but make sure you take all the pieces out of the track bar....even the thin bushing inside the housing. I ended up taking the advice from the alignment mech that it was bad. Well he was wrong about it so double check it if someone is telling you it needs replacement. Mine ended up being the drop bracket shifting front/back when turning. Ohh well, it's done, now I need to reinforce the drop bracket.

Just replacing my LL'd track bar with a 3rd gen- I found I needed to reshim the LL about once every 16-18 months. Not a huge deal, but watch your rod end- as the LL get's worn the ball and socket ( the metal pieces) once they wear (like mine did) the LL won't save it- they'll pop out. Just an FYI. I've been putting off the upgrade too, but faced with spending another $100 for another parts store track bar only to have to re- LL it next year....I'm waiting on my SSI adapter!
