long term storage?

heading away for some time, maybe 9 months or so, and am wondering what, if anything is recommended for long term non-use of a diesel... particularly oil/fuel/batteries, etc... is it ok to leave her sit, or would it be better to have someone start it up every once in a while? it will be cold, too, where the truck will be.

i would try and get someone to start her every couple weeks for 20 minutes or so just too somewhat keep oil on the cylinder walls and batts. charged but you could leave it set i bought a 12 spare engine and let it set 2 years before using it i would just turn the crank a little every no and then. And she runs great after i put it in my truck
