I just got back from New Mexico where I had my inj. pump rebuilt along with some other related parts For a $2500.00 bill. The problem was a broken pin in pump, lost all power.Go pedal went real soft as if the return spring had broke. So after rebuild and 4 extra days out there I headed home, truck ran the best it ever has since I bought it 2 years ago.Great fuel mileage and lots of power for 4,000 miles.Now the problem,,,, It broke again with the same problems, no power soft pedal. So I am wondering if something can slip on the outside of the pump that I can readjust to get it back like it was or do you guys think it will be inside the pump.
Just to say what happened, I was at a stop sign, took off turned left to get going and never put the power down cause I had a tralier with some fragile parts, and the pedal just lost all it's feel, the same as the first time. I can drive it , but it takes along time to get up to 50mph with the go pedal **** near the floor. Once I get up to speed I can cruise there ,but have no power if I go all the way to the floor with pedal, just sucks and no smoke or nothing. Also the truck will not shift down with pedal to floor. it did before pedal went soft.
All oils, filters are fresh, complete fuel system tested, motor comp. tested,valves set.turbo system ok.
94 -2500, with 215 pump, 4'' exh. auto with 456,000 km.
