Leaking oil, does it need a cap???

I have been leaking oil when I towing things. I noticed today that by the starter, up and to the left looked like a hole that needed either a breather cap or a blow by hose on it? Which is it?? 97 12 valve. thanks in advance.

There should be a short blow by hose that's in that general area.It should have a nipple that a 0.75" hose attaches to. Some have extended it below the front differential on 4WD models, to keep the oil drips from getting all over the under side of the truck. If you are experiencing a large amount of blow by, it could indicated more serious problems with the engine.
