I don't know if I can even post this.

I have a friend that works for a big outfit that gets parts from manufacturers. He just told me he received 9 Cummins 5.9 engines. I jokingly said save me one. He told me he would see if they could sell a couple outright.

Long story short. Brand new in the crate Dodge Cummins 5.9 COMPLETE. Made for the 1997 truck. I can find out more details if anybody want to know. I won't chase my tail around for nothing.

I can get it cheap. I could sell it for $5,000.

Is it worth it to anyone?

The last time I stopped by Cummins NW I asked the counterman what a crate engine for my 97 would cost. Pretty close to 5 grand and theirs have a warranty.

Well, now I'm not excited anymore..... This one is $4,000 to me, and I figured I'd make an easy grand turning it. Maybe not. Dodge lists them for $13,000.

Complete right? Not a short block, not a long block.... Complete. Injectors, pumps, everything.... This actually came from Dodge.

One bump as this fell down the list. I'm just the middle man. You all can get a new complete Cummins engine for less than $5,000 ? I wouldn't have guessed it.

Guess I'll have to keep working for a living......
