Injector terminology...
Good evening,

-What are "Extrude Honed Injectors" as advertised on PDR's website?

- Is any distinct advantage to using these "Extrude Honed Injectors"?

-How do "Extrude Honed Injectors" differ from the Lucas POD's?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Respectfully,

Nicholas R. Gajewski
Re:Injector terminology...
Extrude honing is a process in which a playdo/metallic like material is forced through the injector in a controlled amount to polish and hone the inside of the injector, thus you get more fuel flowing per injection.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

--Justin
Re:Injector terminology...
When speaking about honing manifolds or cylinder heads the media used will be much like playdoh. It contains silicon carbide grit.

Injectors are not honed using a media as viscous as playdoh. Injector media will actually run through your fingers much like oil or water. Silicon carbide grit is used for the abrasive for injectors as well.

Don~
