Can you say melt down!!! Your pistons will start melting at 1350 and above after anything longer than 30 sec.<br> You can run at 1150 all day long,1300 - 1min out of 5min, and anything higher is not recomended for longer then 30 sec but 20 sec would be more safe. All temps are pre turbo.<br><br>mark

I rode in a truck last year that made 480 HP and it would peg the guage at 1500 at the top of third gear then stay there all the way through 4th and 5th. He had the head off earlier and said the pistons were just fine, Don M had talked the other day about beating valve seats out at high temps also.
